Enema Instructions
The Reprop enema consists of a handy liquid container (750 ml) with an air release valve, an extension tube with a non-return valve, and a rectal tube. A valve mechanism enables simple manual pumping and hygienic use.
Enema Instructions for Self-Application
To perform an enema, fill the liquid container with lukewarm tap water, sit on the toilet or lie on your back, insert the moistened rectal tube into the rectum, and begin pumping at your preferred rhythm until the liquid container is emptied. After a short time, bowel movements will be activated. The enema procedure may be repeated if necessary.
Enema Instructions for Caregivers
The patient should lie on their left side with knees drawn up. Carefully insert the rectal tube. Place the liquid container overhead and let the water flow into the rectum. The fluid intake can be interrupted using the clamp.
Enema Instructions for Reuse
For hygienic reasons, we recommend exclusive personal use, i.e., the enema device should only be used by the same person.
Enema Instructions for Cleaning
After completing an enema, the rectal and extension tubes must be rinsed and cleaned with water and soap. We recommend replacing the enema accessory parts periodically. These can be ordered from the online shop.
Enema Instructions for Storage
The enema components should be stored dry, dust-protected, and at room temperature.
